CORPORATE ACTIVITIES

Jointly organised by Shaanxi Provincial Department of Commerce, Shaanxi Provincial Department of Science and Technology and Shaanxi Liaison Unit of the Government of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and co-organised by Chinlink International Holdings Limited, MCM Partners and GSVlabs, the 3rd Shaanxi-Hong Kong Finance and Innovation Conference held at Sofitel Xi’an Convention Centre, Shaanxi for two days (24-25 September) came to a close today. Themed “Innovation Meets Opportunities”, the Conference brought together Shaanxi and Hong Kong government officials, local and overseas industry leaders from finance and technology sectors and university professors etc. to give speeches and share their insights, and attracted over 100 Shaanxi startups and more than 350 attendees. Speakers gave their expert views on the trends of innovation and startups in different industries and investment risks, current industry environment and ways to resolve the bottleneck of fundraising.

Startup Pitch Competition was held on 25 September which provided startups international exchange and cooperation opportunities with a view to embodying an internationalised ecosystem of innovation and entrepreneurship in Shaanxi. In addition to leading the judging panel, GSVlabs also gave guidance to the respective ten finalists, allowing the participants to taste the startup competition atmosphere from Silicon Valley. The champion, the first runner-up and the second runner-up of the Competition were Shaanxi JUGAO-AM Technology Ltd., Xi'an Vidoar AR Tech and Shaanxi HuaZhu Engineering Tech Ltd. respectively.
